Classes Available

Kumihimo

Come, enjoy and be creative at a Kumihimo Workshop presented by Sister Soledad Aguilo, RSM, and experiment with this special Japanese braid-making technique. Various materials used include thread, special ribbons and glass beads. You'll follow a pattern or be innovative and create your own unique design under her tutelage! Classes are $70 per session and fees include supplies.

 

  Jewelry Making 101

Experiment with the use of memory wire and stretchy elastic. Using charms, glass beads and rubber cord you will be able to create your own design or follow a pattern. Classes are $30 per person and fees include supplies.

 

 

Invisible Wire

Necklace Classes

Learn a variation of creating  glass bead necklace on tiger tail wire, which literally gives the illusion of suspended beads against the neck. The use of tiger tail wire, glass beads, with a large center piece. will be taught. You will also learn the use of crimping pliers, round nose and wire cutters. Classes are $40 per session and fees include supplies.

Workshops are available upon request. They can be conducted in classes of six or more adult students and held in conducive facilities such as schools, parish centers, meeting rooms or art studios.

Classes can also be scheduled for elementary and secondary school aged students at a minimal individual rate for groups of up to 30 students. If several different grade levels book workshops at one school, Sister Soledad's travel expenses are covered.
